Unlike the past two games, Sinjid has access to a wide array of skills, some of which are exclusive to certain classes. The game uses a real time battling system and is more action-based than the other games, but it retains characteristics of RPGs such as the class system. He receives assistance from Scout Eri, a scout assigned with giving him tactical information so he knows what he's going up against. He promises that Sinjid will be pardoned for his alleged crimes if he cooperates with him, and he sets off on his quest to kill the Shogun's warlords and find his master's true killer. His captor, Lord Masaru, states that the Imperial Empire is at war with the Shogun, and that they need someone skilled enough to have killed the greatest Shinobi to fight the war for them. In this game, Sinjid is falsely arrested for murdering Fujin, and is sentenced to seven years in prison while the real killer remains free. The third game, simply titled Sinjid, was released in 2013. Like the first game, it is turn-based, and it introduces new mechanics such as a class system, the ability to use items in battle, a hunger system, and a physical/special split. However, he had never killed another man in battle before, and so Fujin sends him to the Shadow Temple and orders him to kill all the warriors in the Human Portal so he can fulfill his task. An evil warlord named Lord Baka has ordered an attack on Sinjid's village, and so Sinjid is taken in by a heroic ninja named Fujin and is taught the ways of the ninja by him so he can combat the warlord's Fallen Army. The second game, Sinjid: Shadow of the Warrior, was published circa 2004. There is little plot beyond battling monsters in a portal. You can go to a shop to buy stat increases for your character, learn new skills from a man in a green cloak, and go to your old master to get advice, change your weapons and armor, and use cheat codes. The higher difficulty you choose, the more monsters you get to fight. The point of the game is to defeat all the monsters you can. The first game, Sinjid: Battle Arena, was released circa 2003. Each game has its own standalone plot and are not related to each other. The previous game Sinjid Battle Arena lacked classes.A series of Flash games made by KrinLabs and published by Armor Games, the Sinjid series stars a Ninja named, you guessed it, Sinjid. Classes was first introduced as a gameplay mechanic in Sinjid Shadow of the Warrior.One of their most effective skills is Speed Strike, which deals damage based on the Speed stat. They do well with equipment that raises their speed, increasing their chances of evasion. Due to their low Strength, the Shadow Ninja have a harder time choosing armor and a weapon. Shadow Ninja usually rely on attacks that are fueled by their Speed stat. The Shadow Ninja is weak physically just like the Spell Caster, but instead of casting spells the Shadow Ninja uses their high speed to evade attacks. They typically wear armor that increases their magical abilities and wield magic staffs. To offset the high magical ability, Spell Casters have low physical skill. Their most powerful ability is the Mana Bomb skill, which deals damage based on remaining mana. In addition, they can heal Life using the Heal skill, or restore Mana using the Charge skill. Spell Casters tend to rely heavily on spells fueled by their magical damage stat. Since Warriors tend to have higher Life than the other classes, they are able to make full use of Avenger. One of these skills, Avenger, deals damage based on the amount of life lost. Warriors tend to wear heavy armor and rely on skills that take their Strength or Life stat into account. However, they are slow and have underdeveloped magical abilities. The Warrior class is a melee class, designed to rely on their tremendous physical strength. Due to their nature, the play style for this class will vary depending on what skills the player chooses. It has no outstanding weaknesses, but lacks the damage potential of a specialized character. The Balanced class is the jack of all trades. The player can choose from Strength, Speed, Max Life or Max Mana. The boost amount depends on which class Sinjid has and which stat has been chosen. Max Energy +3 ( +5 if boosting Strength or Speed)Īfter every level up, the player must choose one stat that recieves a further boost. When leveling up, some of Sinjid's stats are increased: Regardless of what class has been chosen, they all start with a Max Energy value of 50. While all classes are not restricted in what skills they can learn, the difference in stats means that each class favors different skills. Their stats grow at different rates and they initially start with different skills unlocked. Each class has different strengths and weaknesses. There are 4 classes available, Balanced, Warrior, Spell Caster and Shadow Ninja.
